We love our Spikeball in St. Ita's!

We have a long and proud tradition of spikeball and volleyball here in St. Ita's. Each girl from 3rd to 6th class gets an opportunity to partake in spikeball training and play games on the yard during break and lunch.

Many of the girls when they leave St Ita's go on to represent their secondary school in various volleyball All-Ireland finals and some have even had the opportunity to represent Ireland on the Irish National Junior team.

St Ita's have done very well in competitions over the last number of years, winning numerous All-Ireland Spikeball titles. Not an easy achievement without hard work, commitment and dedication from both the children and staff. A huge thank you to all the teachers and coaches who helped and prepared the girls for their matches.

March 2019: A massive congratulations to the girls in 6th class on retaining the All-Ireland Spikeball title again this year. What another wonderful achievement for the girls and their teacher, Ms O'Brien. The girls put on a wonderful display of teamwork and skill to win all of their seven matches in the All-Ireland Finals which were held in the University of Limerick in March.

Here are some of the photos!
