St Ita's is a Catholic school located in the town of Loughrea, Co.Galway.  We are one of three primary schools in the area. 

Here in St. Ita's, we recognise that each child has unique and individual strengths and talents. We offer the full primary curriculum of subjects and we also offer a varied program of co-curricular activities. Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers and staff strive to ensure that each pupil is enabled to achieve his or her full potential.

Our school caters for boys and girls in junior and senior infants and girls from 1st to 6th in the local area. St Brendan's Boy's national school, just a few minutes walk up the road, teach the boys when they enter 1st class. 

.The children engage in meaningful educational experiences and participate in a variety of activities such as; Art, Athletics, Band, Choir, Drama, Fantastic Library, Gaelic Games, Green Schools Projects, Homework Club, Tennis, Volleyball, Information Technology, Irish Dancing, Quizzes and Swimming to mention but a few! All of the above activities take place in a spirit of friendship, co-operation and community.
